【摘要】:1.1*Scope.Thisstandardcoverstherequirementsforthefireprotectioninfrastructureinsuburbanandruralareaswherethereisanintendedchangeoflanduseorintendedlanddevelopment.A.1.1Landusechangesinsuburbanandruralareasoftenoccurinareaswheretheremightbeaninadequatewatersupply,inadequatefiredepartmentresources,extendedfiredepartmentresponsetime,limitedaccess,hazardousvegetation,unusualterrain,orunusualcharacteristics.Withouttheinvolvementofthefiredepartmentfromtheoutset,theresultingchangescouldcreateasituationwherethefiredepartmentcannotproperlyaccessstructuresorhavetheresourcesnecessarytodealwithemergenciesatthepropertyandwheretheoccupantsmightnotbeabletoescapetheincident.Thisstandardaddressesthedesignofsubdivisionsanddevelopmentinareaswherethreatsofnaturaldisastersorhuman-causedhazardsinsuburban/ruralareasnotaddressedbyotherplanninganddevelopmentdocuments.Moreover,inmanyareasoftheUnitedStates,buildingandfirecodesmaynothavebeenadopted,inwhichcasethisstandardismeanttoapply.
