【摘要】:1.1Themethodisdesignedtoevaluatetheabilityofliquidchemicalgermicidestoinactivatevegetativebacteria,viruses,fungi,mycobacteriaandbacterialsporesinthepresenceofasoilload(1,2)ondiskcarriersthatrepresentenvironmentalsurfacesandmedicaldevices.Itisalsodesignedtohavesurvivorsthatcanbecomparedtomeanofnolessthanthreecontrolcarrierstodetermineiftheperformancestandardhasbeenmet.Forproperstatisticalevaluationoftheresults,thesizeofthetestinoculumshouldbesufficientlylargetotakeintoaccountboththeperformancestandardandtheexperimentalvariationintheresults.1.2Thetestprotocoldoesnotincludeanywipingorrubbingaction.Itis,therefore,notdesignedfortestinggermicide-soakedwipes.1.3Thistestmethodshouldbeperformedbypersonswithtraininginmicrobiologyinfacilitiesdesignedandequippedforworkwithinfectiousagentsattheappropriatebiosafetylevel().1.4Inthistestmethod,metricunitsareusedforallapplications,exceptfordistanceinwhichcaseinchesareusedandmetricunitsfollow.1.5ItistheresponsibilityoftheinvestigatortodeterminewhetherGoodLaboratoryPracticeRegulations(GLPs)arerequiredandtofollowthemwhereappropriate(40CFR,Part160forEPAsubmissionsand21CFR,Part58forFDAsubmissions).1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
