【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodisintendedtoevaluatetheperformanceofvirgin,newlyimpregnatedorin-service,granularorpelletizedactivatedcarbonfortheremovalofhydrogensulfidefromanairstream.Ahumidifiedairstreamcontaining1%(byvolume)hydrogensulfideispassedthroughacarbonbeduntil50ppmbreakthroughofH2Sisobserved.TheH2Sadsorptioncapacityofthecarbonperunitvolumeat99.5%removalefficiency(gH2S/cm3carbon)isthencalculated.Thistestisnotnecessarilyapplicabletonon-carbonadsorptivematerials.1.2Thisstandardaswrittenisapplicableonlytogranularandpelletizedactivatedcarbonswithmeanparticlediameters(MPD)lessthan2.5mm.Seeparagraph5.3ifactivatedcarbonswithlargerMPDsaretobetested.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
