【摘要】:Thispracticecoversthetestmethodsformeasuringthosepropertiesofgraphiteandboronatedgraphitematerialsthatmaybeusedforthedesignandevaluationofhigh-temperaturegas-cooledreactors.ThetestmethodsreferencedhereinareapplicabletomaterialsusedforreplaceableandpermanentcomponentsasdefinedinSection7andincludefuelandremovablereflectorelements;targetelementsandinsulators;permanentsidereflectorelements;coresupportpedestalsandelements;controlrod,reserveshutdown,andburnablepoisoncompacts,andneutronshieldmaterial.ThispracticeincludestestmethodsthathavebeenselectedfromexistingASTMstandards,ASTMstandardsthathavebeenmodified,andnewASTMstandardsthatarespecifictothetestingofmaterialslistedin1.2.CommentsonindividualtestmethodsforgraphiteandforboronatedgraphitecomponentsaregiveninSections8and10,respectively.ThetestmethodsaresummarizedinTables1and2.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
